Destguides is a source of high-quality destination guides. We do our best to publish travel itineraries that inform you of the best places to visit and things to do on your next trip. We do this by providing easy-to-read, high-quality itineraries that are written by real people (‘curated’).
For Destguides, a curated itinerary is:
Destguides features a large amount of itineraries created by Destguides staff. However, we also allow you, our visitors, to create and share content on the platform. Whether the content is created by Destguides staff or our visitors, we ensure that it meets our high curation standards before allowing it to be published.
The below letter is written by the founder of Destguides, Loredana Elena.
Destguides came to fruition over a coffee or a meal once upon a time... to be honest, I can’t really remember. It just seemed like the next natural step in life. I constantly found myself in a position of giving advice to friends and family for 'things to do' in the places I had visited.
When searching destinations, I found that the travel itineraries and blog posts I would come across were often confusing to read and auto-generated. All I really wanted were real, high-quality and easy-to-read travel itineraries. Travel itinerary guides that told me just enough information so I could get on with my trip planning.
Because I couldn’t find the information I liked in the format I wanted, I decided to create a website where that information was readily and easily accessible to anyone and everyone.
Now, I can stop sounding like a broken record when people ask me for travel advice and just point them to Destguides.
So, here we are today with Destguides. I, along with the travel and local experts I am able to gather, are writing for YOU to be able to see and experience the same things we enjoy in our favourite places around the world.
I hope you find this information useful. If you need anything or have any questions, please don’t be afraid to reach out. My aim for this website is to equip you with ideas for your next holiday or weekend trip. If you feel like the information is lacking or not quite right somewhere, then please do let us know.
