The staff was really friendly. The breakfast was very tasty and the bungalow was incredibly nice. It felt safe there, because all people coming in would pass the staff. It's directly next to the beach (although when it's flood you have to go about 15 minutes to the next part of the beach to lie down as the water here is too high then). Also a beautiful garden. We had a great stay!

Sansi Kae is an amazing resort. We loved our time there. Right On the beach. Great Pools. Great Staff and overall a great stay. The massages were amazing. The night activities were a lot of fun and created a great vibe. The way the staff treat you is like royalty. We made friends with lots of the staff and had some good laughs and learnt a lot of the language from them. They always went our their way to make sure we had everything we wanted and more!
The external company that handled the booking of activities were great too. We swam with dolphins and went to feed sea turtles in a cave. AMAZING experience. We also did the tour of prison island and stone town which were also great experiences.
The resort is a bit of a drive from the airport but the taxis got us there no problem. On the East side of the island where its not as commercial so it wasnt too busy. We heard that the North side is madness. Especially when doing tours like the Dolphin swim. We had 4 boats around us vs what i heard some people say its mayhem with over 20 boats as an example.
For a chilled getaway to relax and spend time at the beach or pools was amazing. I would recommend Sansi Kae to all.

International breakfast was the norm wich was tasty and can make europeans feel at home but local breakfast could be arranged too if requested wich I loved so much and was SO filling. Dinner is priced reasonable, a little higher than surrounding places but portions are HUGE and quality and taste is 20/10. All dishes are very fresh and the chef is a sweet soul. The owners are very transparant and well organised. They have trustworthy connections to arrange all activities you can think of and are very happy to help any time. The place offers a sense of privacy wich I loved. I can imagine it also being a very good place to celebrate with a group of friends as they offer the facilities (swimmingpool, bar, line wall, high quality music installation, game are). I really felt looked after and will definitely visit them again. Cleanliness and hygiene is 20/10, the place always looks and feels polished. Rooms are well equiped, for hot nights, beautifully designed and mosquito protection can be bought from them (wich works well and is way cheaper compared to buying it at home if you travel from Europe). Excellent location and such sweet and caring staff. Couldnt have felt more safe here. Wifi is free and very high speed.

This small resort with about 20 rooms was recently renovated. ( OBS the photos at Booking.com show the rooms before the renovation!)
The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds comfortable. We were even offered the spacious bridal suite for our 9 days stay; it had a balcony with a view of the Michamvi bay. What a nice surprise!
The food is good and varied, and the three course dinners (with both fish, meat and vegetarian options) are served at different locations every night.
The female manager Shirley did an excellent job, and she was supported by a whole team of pleasant and service oriented staff members.

Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying . There are few vendors and they are not disturbing you and friendly. We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable. by walking distance you could reach Kae Funk, which is lovely place, with party, and amazing sunset view. Is right place for whom are interested for The Rock, by taxi it takes aprox. 25 min, the same to Paje beach. Michamwi is calm and full of nature. Unfortunately the ocean is full of seeweeds and is not pleasant to swim here.

It has some really nice beaches in the area and wonderful blue ocean as far as the eye can see. It's also quiet and very tranquil. We enjoyed a nice long walk on the beach with little to no interruptions from beach boys of sellers.
The Lodge is a quiet and cosy place surrounded by a wonderful garden. Each bungalow has a terrace including sunbeds where you can relax and/or get your everyday delicious breakfast etc. The crew is just perfect - charming, helpful and caring. The Lodge is located in the middle of the peninsula from which you can easily reach Pingwe beach (sunrise) as well as the Kae beach (sunset) area. Both beaches are not that crowded and, at least for me, far better than the beaches in Pajé or Jambiani.
We travel frequently and have visited some amazing beaches, however The View of Zanzibar tops the list for spectacular scenery. It is situated on the very best part of the beach, such that the fabulous Rock, and excellant Rock Restaurant, can be viewed from the large balcony.
The apartment has a large living space, well equipped kitchen and separate bedroom. There was plenty of space for us to do yoga either inside or out on the balcony.
We booked 2 nights but ended up staying for 6 :)
We had a very pleasant stay.Very good opportunities to relax in a beautifully landscaped garden. The breakfast, a very good base for the day, delicious food, Thanx Sheff Dula.Very friendly staff which gives you the feeling of being at home. Thanx to Sawardi and Kidawa. The beach within walking distance. Come back at the next Zanzibar visit.finally n greetings to Akida... the ancorman and all the other people of this lodge dei made our holiday so enjoyable.
Everything looks pleasing and I like the vibe of the entire beach hotel. It's very "instagrammable" and cozy as well. Staff were helpful and nice. Housekeeping is done promptly. Facilities were excellent! Ala carte food at the restaurant were pretty good also (or should I say the ones we tried at least) :) They also have tour packages and some activities to offer if you haven't planned out anything yet during your stay.
The room are airy, & spacious, when compared to nearby beach hotels. The bed was comfortable. Loved the ensuite bathroom. The space was very clean. Had no issues with mosquitoes. Host - Ugo is very welcoming and responsive to all of our requests. Location is ideal as it just a street over from the beach and bus stop is literally at the doorstep and will take to nearby towns for inexpensive price.
this small hotel was such a pleasant surprise! unfortunately we booked it only for one day… I wish we had chosen it to spend the one week we had in Zanzibar ! great value for money ! we slept with the sound of the waves and woke up seeing the sunrise from our bed ! unique experience and walking distance from The Rock restaurant and other nice hotels/ restaurants for dinner / lunches !
We loved our stay at Kae Beach Resort! It was more than we expected. The staff is really polite and they took good care of us. The room is spacious and super clean, and the maid cleans it 2 to 3x a day. The food was good and not too oily, but it took very long at the Bahari Restaurant to be served it was the only low point. The beach is perfect! I would recommend this hotel for sure.
It was a lovely place, located on quiet beach. With just 12 rooms, its perfect for a quiet getaway. The aesthetics are very nice, coming from an Italian owner. The food was superb, especially for Vegetarians, which can be a little difficult to find in Zanzibar, but to top it all, their craft beer was out of the world. Didn't expect such amazing craft beer.
Excellent place to relax. The hotel is located on an idyllic landscape in a small village next to the beach. The rooms are right at the beach, breakfast is served outdoors with an excellent view. There is a beach bar with good cocktails and food. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are spotless and the hotel is very well managed.
Absolutely great stay in the Honeymoon Suite of Michamvi Sunset Bay. We felt pampered from the very beginning and to the moment of leaving the gate. The entire staff were a bliss, food was great, beers were always cold and the whole place is just great.
We have nothing but praise for our stay at Qambani! Everyone was so charming and helpful, delivering a sterling service that matches the beauty of the property which is a little heaven nested away on the Eastern coast of Zanzibar. We had a lovely time!
We enjoyed our 4 nights stay. Dinner buffet was great. The Chef was realy helpfull with special diet my girlfriend is on. Thanks to his attention to our needs, we were able to enjoy dinners for the first time here in Zanzibar. Thank you Chef Benjamin!!
Warm welcome from the manager on the hotel doorstep. I like the rustic cachet of the hotel; it was really nice. My room had a nice view of the beach. The hotel is not far away from one's Zanzibar famous landmark: The rock restaurant.
My family fo 6 pax they stay 3 night kaebeach resort and spa was wonderful Good service nice food friendly staff
Thank you front office manager manjale who take care and all guest on time
The rooms are big and spacious. However, you should check for insects before going to bed. The pool, the restaurant and the bar are very nice. There are plenty of sun beds to relax and enjoy the sunset.
The hotel is wonderful if you are for a 5 star hotel, the facilities are super cool specially the villas! Thank you Le Mersenne for the honeymoon decorations, we loved it 🤍🤍
It was just perfect! The location right on the beach with a lot of palm trees. The bungalow with private pool was the perfect choice. Best place we stayed in Zanzibar.
