    Glad I went
I love big green spaces in the middle of cities. And that is what this is. Must have taken some incredible will to complete the reclamation project. Really close to walk from the core of downtown and once there some nice public art and some subtle but delghtful interpretatons of the history. And a museum if you want more. It was not crowed on April 11, one of the first really nice days of the year. So my rating is as much for what it is as for anything in particular that we did there. You'd like to think that come summer it would have a little hum and buzz.

    Beautiful Park
What a landscape. Stand witnessing the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers, forming the Ohio River. Iconic Fountain adorns the peninsula. Bit of cleanliness issues but a great park maintained in the city. Enjoy the cityscapes and water.

    Nice for a quick visit
Pretty fountain and great views of the water/boats/etc. There is also a stone outline of the old fort and a few plaques to read. Unless you want to have a picnic there or people/river watch for a long time, 20-30 minutes is adequate. There is a lot nearby that charges $10 to park, so try for street parking if you can. The park was nice when we were there in the afternoon, but not sure if I would feel as comfortable there at night.

Exhibits depicted the trying times of my g*grandfather
My husband and I were retracing some of the activities and travels of my ancestors. My g*grandfather was a Ranger during the 1780's, guarding the western frontier. He knew Fort Pitt well. The Fort Pitt museum has some very interesting narratives of the life and times of people at the Fort and the impact of the French and English struggles for power in the area. It is well worth a trip. The park itself is very nice on a sunny day. The only remaining blockhouse from the period is a story in itself.

I've been living about 30 minutes away from downtown Pittsburgh for the past 6 months and probably have been to the city less than five times since I got here. Didn't want to come to the "crowded city" cause I thought there's too many people around here, and I don't want to catch what they obviously got. Point State Park was the axis of all this to me. A place I'd never been to before and kind of thought I should never go to if I want to stay alive. But I'd look at it on the map and think well this might be pretty cool with Fort Pitt and the riverviews and fountain and everything. Well finally I came, and it was all very anticlimatic. Oh the city views were pretty cool but you know there really ain't much going on here. Glad it wasn't crowded at all, but I still had my two masks going on. Fort Pitt has a couple buildings I think and of course they're closed. The museum was open, but as you can kinda tell I'm too covid geeked out to go inside. Did walk around the park and caught a few nice trees with a little foliage going on. The fountain was working overtime with only a few people around. Nothing else; I was in and out of the park in about 30 minutes. It's the kind of place where you think like it doesn't matter if I was ever here to begin with.

The museum is large but it does give a good insight into the history of the point. The grounds are well maintained and I felt more than safe even with the night strolls I took at various times, one at 2 AM. I have not had the opportunity to see the fountain in action yet but I am sure it is impressive!

The location of Fort Duquesne is marked by a granite tracery (outline) within the Great Lawn. The center of the tracery contains a bronze medallion depicting the fort. The locations of four of the five bastions, projecting parts of the fortification, of Fort Pitt have been delineated.

This a beautiful park. I sat on the Allegheny side and relaxed. The fountain is the centerpiece and I saw a rabbit and several species of birds. A respite in a big city. I also visited Fort Pitt .

I have always seen Point State Park in pictures of Pittsburgh and was excited about visiting. We rented bikes downtown using the PBSC app and rode through. The park gives a great view of the river and north and south shore areas and the fountain is huge. This was a great spot in a city that we really enjoyed visiting.

Point State Park along with the many bridges is one of the highlights of downtown Pittsburgh. Point State Park is right in between two rivers The Monongahela River and The Allegheny River. Point State Park is a unique park with lots of fun activities on land and on water. I sat down on this huge rounded bench and watched the boats, walkers and bikers go by me. I even saw a few Segway’s go by too. It was fun watching the birds fly around. This place was very busy with people enjoying the nice weather. If you want to have lunch there is a variety of restaurants and food establishments within walking distance. If u are in Pittsburgh make make sure u visit Point State Park.

This is the point of con fluence where the Ohio, Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers converge. Here there is an amphitheater, huge fountain, forts and seating. From here we had views are Heinz Field, the incline and the city. A promenade went around the park and we watched runners, bikers and walkers pass by. From here it’s easy to see why Pittsburgh is call the City of Bridges
