Quiet, quaint, and beautiful. The host family were very accommodating and made us feel at home. The food was delicious and the views were spectacular. We were also very impressed by Llachon, a peaceful change of pace compared to Juliaca and Puno.

This was maybe one of the best places we’ve stayed. Breakfast was delicious and the lunch and dinner were filling and tasty as well. The shower had hot water and the electric heater did a lot to warm up the room. It was in a great location easy to walk to town and easy access to the trails in the area. Everyone who worked there was super helpful and welcoming, even though they were busy with maintaining the place as well as the festival. Don’t miss the recommended mirador hike if you’re fit and acclimatized to the altitude.

We really enjoyed our stay at Luquina. The service was very personal, we went on a tour to the floating islands with Guido and no one else. The whole family was lovely, the food was great. When we had to leave very early Guidos wife made us a very early breakfast. The room was lovely with an amazing view, hot water bottles at night was a really nice touch. Would definitely recommend this place to stay for a quiet break.
