Beautiful, clean and everything was new! This tiny house has everything you need like a stove, microwave, fridge, cups and plates, coffee maker, so just bring food and clothes. Gorgeous dock for boat & they provided a bbq grill and patio area on the boat dock which we really enjoyed. Beautiful sunsets, great and safe area. We loved it!

The town is still recovering from hurricane Ian and they are doing the very best and what has been rebuilt is amazing so it’s wonderful to support the local community. A lot of great restaurant choices. A great place to bring your boat to the dock.

Being in hurricane relief mode, many restaurants and shops were closed. The weather was lovely on our trip, so we found plenty of places to enjoy sunshine, friendly people. Allow plenty of time to travel to JetBlue Park for spring training ball games, or the River District downtorn, and an afternoon on Sanibel Island. Beautiful area overall, easy driving, but be patient as traffic moves slowly on and off the island.

Matlacha (Mat-la-shay)is a fishing village of around 900 people (2020 census.) The town is an island between Cape Coral and Pine Island. Many of the buildings are painted very beach colors of pink, blue and green. There are various small shops, a few restaurants and I saw one coffee shop. Prices are fair. Nothing opens before 10, ex coffee/ breakfast shop. Very friendly with good prices. There are no connivence stores or gas stations.

Matlacha Community Park, followed by breakfast at the Perfect Cup. Heads up, if you're not really hungry, get a plate and split it the omelets are huge! Long hot lazy days wandering thru the hippy dippy shops, with an afternoon nap is a must! A breezy deck to enjoy in the evening sunset. Went to Bert's Bar a couple of times, great food and light entertaining. Local tip, Friday's All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry $9.99! Shout out to Ashley!
Took a couple trips to Bokeelia on Pine Island during the day for a walk on the pier and a beer at the Captain's. Great pie btw. If you're gonna get pizza, make sure you choose Miceli's! Great food and atmosphere!

This location is walking distance in Matlacha to shop and eating places. It's great for fishermen, and easy to get in and out from the units. Staff is wonderful and very clean . It's enjoyable to have a screened patio and decorating lights are just enough for a romantic mood and relaxing at night.
